Forty years of it. Your job is to meet your loved one where they are, not to drag them back to consensus reality.
Predictable schedule for meals, sleep, activities. Familiar environment (do not redecorate). Reduce noise, crowding, visual clutter. Build in low-stimulation rest periods.
